Is it possible to burn a dvd longer than 2 hours without losing image quality? Total length is 2h 16m. I’d like to use menu screen/chapter markers as well. Just not sure if I would have to use the program Compression or if I can just export a certain way right out of my timeline. Thanks!!!

You need to use Compressor, although you can “Send to Compressor’ from your time-line.
Putting to hours of video on a DVD means to compress more the picture with the unavoidable quality lost, however there is an easy solution to avoid this: Using dual-layer discs.

You can fit 3 and 4 hours on a DVD if you want.
Like Rafael said, it’s a quality to volume ratio. The more you squeeze on the disc, the worse it looks.

Bring your FCP master into Compressor and choose the 2 hr DVD preset, adjust the data rate to make your long video fit.
