    Hey all,

Long story short trying to get my 28 minute short onto a blu ray without losing a bunch of quality. So far it’s been impossible, mainly because Compressor and Media Encoder keep dropping the mbits/second much lower than what I set it to. I’ll choose 35 or 40, and it gives me a 20 mbps file.

My biggest issue is artifacts and banding because I’ve pushed the film pretty hard in the grade. So for Prores4444 and 422 (HQ) it’s fine, but once I go to H264 it falls apart. But it would definitely help if Media Encoder or Compressor would give me the file I want. Episode does but I can’t afford that. I have Sorenson Squeeze, but I can’t seem to raise the quality levels without Adobe Encore wanting to compress again.

If anyone knows the proper settings or solutions to these problems I would LOVE TO HEAR IT!! I’ve wasted soooo many hours exporting and testing I’m losing my mind!
