I am using A E CS3, I tend to add to render que and then go in and change the settings for the compression-

so far I have been using the compressor- Animation at it’s highest level for best results- but the files are always extreamly large with this compressor.

I know sorancan 3 (maybe spelt incorrectly) is a better compressor and keeps quality at it’s highest but with considerably smaller file size- however this is never in my option drop down menu- is it a plug in? and if it is how to i get it? or is there another way to keep quality but have smaller files when exporting as a quicktime.

    any suggestions would be brilliant

Animation is an intermediate codec. Use it when you have to work with the clip elsewhere, e.g. in your editing programme. If you need a compressed QT, try h.264. You may need to install the newest version of QT.

hi its sorenson that you are thinking of, its not a plugin but its a great compressor, if your going to use it maybe render your videos without a compressor in after effects and then compress it in sorenson and see what happens, again not plugin its a software package.
