Compression issue w/ Microsoft DV AVI vs. Microsoft AVI
TV Commercial compression issue w/ Microsoft DV AVI vs. Microsoft AVI
Using Premiere Pro 1.5 I created a commercial for TV
When compressing 30 seconds of video to a Microsoft DV.AVI file the size is 111MB
When compressing 30 seconds of video to a Microsoft .AVI file the size is 900MBBoth videos look the same to me but I am not satisfied with how it looks on TV. I sent the station the Microsoft DV.AVI master on miniDV which looked good through my deck. Once the piece aired, I saw artifacts with some of the text and logos that were used and I do understand that this could just be inherent in the wimpy DV format or an issue with the transfer at the station, etc…. So to wrap it up, should an uncompressed Microsoft AVI file look better then the Microsoft DV.AVI file?
Thanks, Jim
