  Compression issue in feature film… in DVD conversion from Final Cut

  We recently finished post production on a live-action children’s film, “The Bracelet of Bordeaux”. It was shot in mini-DV on a DVX100A in 24P Advanced mode and edited in Final Cut.

  We are having compression issues in our DVD conversion. The DVD looks great on computer screens, plasma screens, CRT’s, and projection screens. However, it looks really bad on LCD screens. Anyone familiar with this problem? Lots of aliasing problems and oversaturation of warm colors, but only it’s pronounced on LCD screens. Solutions?
