I have a client I’m documenting an event which I will then edit in Media 100 and deliver on a DVD. I will be delivering segments of the event as Quicktime files on CD The client wants to know before hand how many gigs a Quicktime movie of 1 hour duration would be. I’m not sure how to answer them. Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Bruce

As big or as small as you want it to be depending on the data rate or codec if it’s a fixed data rate codec.

I’d follow up by asking your client how big is the internet (sorry I couldn’t help myself).

What is the client going to use the content for? (Broadcast/draft edits/DVD etc…)

Read “How to get fastest compressions help” sticky at the top of the forum. We need a lot more info like I can ask a score of questions but the basics will be in that post.

The internet can’t be that big because it fits on all of our computers.
