Please forgive me I’m sure this has been posted before. I’m shooting with a Canon 7d. I usually use Premier Pro for my video editing, but I’ve gone back to using FCP for editing a short together. I know I need to compress the footage…how and which program and are there certain settings that should be used?

    Thanks in advance =]

Which version of FCP? X can ingest it natively, while 7 will strongly benefit from being converted to something like ProRes 422 or 444. If you aren’t comfortable with FCP’s log and capture then check out https://rarevision.com/5dtorgb/ for batch conversion.
