Compressing Two Files
Posted by Mark Dannunzio on November 30, 2010 at 7:13 pmHello,
I am trying to compress a seperate audio (ac3) and video (MPEG2) into ONE file preferably with an H.264 codec. For some reason I cannot figure out how to do this? Compressor won’t will it, it still treats them as two seperate files?
Thanks alot

December 1, 2010 at 1:39 amOpen the M2v in MPEG Streamclip and as long as the audio file has the same name sans the extension, it will open both as one clip. Export from there.

December 2, 2010 at 7:24 pmHello,
I’ve tried to upload those files as you suggested but still having a hard time with MPEG Stream Clip. It will open the M2V file but not the ac3 file. I want to open them both and create one MP4 video file.
Thanks again for your help.

December 3, 2010 at 1:10 amUnless there is something odd about that ac3 it should work. Try just opening the ac3 in MPEG Streamclip and see if it will play it.

December 3, 2010 at 3:33 pmThe audio file (ac3) will play in MPEG Stream Clip but how do I also upload the M2v file as well? It seems like it only takes one at a time?
Thanks
