    Hello,

So I have many (a few thousand) video files (mov & MP4) that I need to convert to H.264 .mov files in a few resolutions. I need to export them at 1080p, 720p and one other lower resolution. I also need to be able to add a bug in the bottom right hand corner of the frame and limit bitrate & add fast streaming (quick start).

What software do you recommend I use? I’ve used compressor but it has some serious issues holding up when I throw that many files at it. Even if I compress in smaller batches of 50. I need something that I can send a good amount of files at.

Telestream Episode. You may want to consider Episode Pro or even Episode Engine. I’d get the x264 codec with it as well for best quality/file efficiency.

Is that my only other option? What about Sorenson Squeeze or DV kitchen?

Squeeze would work as well but I’m not sure it has the clustering features if you want to go that route. Otherwise it could work.

Can you tell me a little bit more about clustering please? So I have a clear definition.
    Thank you.

If you have a lot of files (as you do) you can link several machines together to use all the cores available to speed encoding.

If you scroll up a bit on this page you’ll see a brief description.
