Compressing Sony XDCAM to SD for a DVD
Hi:
I am trying to find the best compression from a Sony XDCAM timeline in FCP for a SD DVD. I’ve used the H2.64 at NTSC 16:9 and it worked great. Then I dropped that file into compressor and used a preset for converting the H2.64 file to an MPEG 2. It all works great but the only problem is that it is still a freaking huge file even after it is compressed to MPEG 2. I used 150 fastest encode for converting the H2.64 file. Is there another way I can compress the XDCAM timeline so that it is smaller but still good quality. Would love any help or suggestions.
