    Hi,

working with DVD SP 2—I have a project that i’m trying to author–a 100 min. project output from FCP 5.1. via Compressor 2 with the settings best quality 120 min., mpeg 2 at 5.mbps, 2 pass. Now in DVD SP, the project is 5.3 G so to big for a dvd-r. HOw can i compress it in DVD SP or would it be better to recompress in compressor? I”ve tried changing the encoding settings in DVD SP and it’s not changing the size at all.

    my system:

    mac powerbook G4 1.33 ghz
    OS 10.4.10

If you are bring in m2v files DVDSP will never reencode them, nor do you want it to. Encode the audio are ac3 in compressor and use that instead of the PCM and it should fit.

What is ac3? I’m trying the same but my settings include Dolby Digital and I see a variety of AIFFs, AAC and PCM.
