    Hi guys,

Please forgive me if this has already been dealt with, but I could not find it searching in the forums.

I have 1280×1020 mp4 files that I am trying to upload to Vimeo. Before I upload them I want to return them to 16×9 aspect ratio. So I am trying to find a setting in Compressor that will output a 1280×720 mp4 that maintains the HD quality but compresses the file at least a little bit.

I’ve used the HDV 720p50 setting, at it corrects the aspect ratio, but it takes a .mp4 file that is 154 MB and outputs a .mov file that is 1.38 GB.

I’ve used the “H.264 for Apple TV” setting but that re-sized the file to 960 x 540.

If anyone knows how to find the correct setting, or could point out where I am making a mistake I could really use some help.

    Setup:
    Mac OS X 10.5.8
    Compressor 3.0.5

    thanks,
    KJ
