    Hello,

I recently composed a video installation for an art show. I am having trouble getting a proper compressed version for the web (Vimeo, Youtube). The video is very experimental and contains alot of frame by frame strobing effects (1 frame solid color, next frame video image…back and fourth for seconds at a time) and it is not translating correctly when I compress it via Apple’s Compressor program.

I am hitting a brick wall and don’t know what to do.

The master hi-rez file is as follows:
    DVCPRO HD 720p60 960×720 (1248×702)
    23.98 fps

My export setting are as follows:

    H.264 1280×720
    Pixel Aspect Ratio = Square
    Frame rate = Current
Key Frames = Every 30 Frames
    Frame Reordering On
Data Rate = Restrict to 5000kbps

Now I have tinkered around with the Data rate & key frames multiple times and it gives me the same thing. Dropped frames when viewing in Quicktime. Is there a specific process that can handle frame by frame strobing effects???

    Please help!!!!

    Thanks!!!
