I have created some graphics screens with Motion 2 and need to get them ready for display on 1600×1200 monitors. Exported from Motion 2 project (created on 1600×1200 canvas) as a .mov file (everything looks great!) then compressed using Flash 8 (with settings customized to 1600×1200). When displayed on the monitor things do not look sharp. Lots of artifacting etc… Any ideas on a different process to get everything looking as sharp on these beauiful monitors as the original .mov file did?

What are you encoding with? I’ve made my best Flash using Squeeze 4.2 with the On2 plugin. Not much HD work so far, but you definitely want to tell it to go slower and higher quality, and up your bitrate.

Flash really isn’t meant for HD delivery as far as I can tell. WMV is a much better format for that.
