Activity Forums Compression Techniques Compressing Embedded Information in VR

    Here’s something a little different:

I’ve created a VR environment in quicktime with wired components that are built into hotspots sprinkled throughout the piece. The original pieces that comprise the wired environment were built in AE and compiled in LiveStage (YIKES) Pro.
The file sizes are reduced somewhat via Sorenson3 from the animation output but need to come way, way down for my current purposes.

The question that no one seems to know the answer to: is there a way to compress the LIveStage (wired quick time movie output) and retain the embedded code that contains the hotspots and other “wiring.” I think I may be able to redo the entire production and compress the elements as sprties in LSP but can’t face that now.

I am able to compress the appearance of the movie and retain the VR interface in h264 but I lose the embedded features.

If I could get livestage to recognize h264 (or if quicktime VR, which runs in classic mode could recognize h264) I could build this again using compressed elements from the start.

thanks for any ideas in advance:
