Compressing 24fps to Mpeg-2 for DVD
Hi,
I’m surprised I couldn’t find the answer to this on here already, but I was searching through the forums and didn’t locate it. I apologize if I just missed it.
I’m currently working on editing a project that I didn’t shoot. I’m working in FCP and After Effects and compressing using the Compressor program. Unfortunately, the shooter decided to shoot in 24fps which wasn’t very necessary. But, since that was the native format, I ended up editing the sequence and creating any After Effects sequences in 24fps. When I play the final video on the FCP timeline, it looks great. However, as soon as I compress it, it starts to get really jittery and keeps pausing for a fraction of a second, especially in the After Effects sections. I’m not entirely sure what to do as, when I check the settings on Compressor, it claims that it is using the native frame rate of the file. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Sean
