    Hi guys,

I’ve been doing a lot of research into chroma subsampling, but I’m confused about how it is used in “uncompressed video”. If the colour information is compressed, how can it still be uncompressed video?

Is it because the chroma subsampling is a totally seperate process to compression? If we take the example of lossy pro res 4:2:2 video capture, is the compression step occurring after the chroma has been subsampled? I’m sure I haven’t articulated myself at all well, but I’ve done my best!

    Many thanks,

    Kieran.
