  compress clip but keep timecode

  I am on a Retina Macbook Pro and I have Adobe Suite CC, Avid Media Composer 7, Sorenson Squeeze 8 and and Quicktime.

  I have been trying to compress some video that was shot on a Canon c300 into a smaller size and watermark it. The footage is MXF footage.

  I am sending video to a transcriber via dropbox and so I want to watermark it and make it smaller so that it’s easier to upload.

  I am able to bring it into Premiere and see the timecode but every time I output it to a smaller format it loses the original timecode.

  Is there a way I can keep the timecode on these files but make them smaller watermarked Quicktime files?
