I have been searching-and experimenting-for quite some time now… hope to find a solution here….
For a project, I need to convert 4.5k footage (4480×1920) to a codec, a PC can read AND play. Meaning, the bitrate should be around 100 Mbps.
I have tried TMPGEnc XPress, but unfortunately, it can read it, but not output higher than 4k. But I need the full Resolution.

I have tried to transcode to MPEG-4 video, but the bitrate is still around 240 Mbps. If I set the “Limit Bit rate” lower, the quality suffers a lot.

I am using a MAC Pro for output, but it has to be played on a PC.

I’m not sure if those frame sizes are the maximum limit but at Level 5.1 it’s about 4K.
Also note the maximum bit rates for the Profiles. Main is 240Mbps and High is 300Mbps.
