  • Compound Clip and Slide Transition

    Hey Everyone,

I keep running into different … what seem like … bugs in FCPX. Here’s one…

I’m trying to have a simple lower third come up and down from the bottom of the screen. So, I…

    – Create a compound clip with nothing fancy inside – a clip, a simple title, and a shape (rectangle)
    – Lay that compound clip on top of a simple a-roll clip
    – Add the slide transition (a FCPX transition) to both ends
    – Change “type” in slide properties to “Slide In” and “Down” (or any direction)

Whenever I do this, on the outgoing transition, the whole clip comes down including the a-roll. I just want the compound clip to leave the frame.

    Any ideas?

And…strike this whole post..I had the outgoing transition still set to “Slide In.” Grr.

    Thx!
    Jeff
