Compositing Blending Techniques (Colour Correction, etc)
So I’ve just composited this door from Skyrim into my footage I shot, I’m wondering how I can better blend it.
What I want to do is:
Stabilize it slightly so the movement is less dramatic.
Make the door sit on the grass properly. If anyone can give tips on accurately masking away the door that would be fab.
track some masks to the footage and use it to create a shadow between the door and the stonework frame.
Add some slight noise to the door.
Add some large pine trees or ones like the background) to the left and right of the door to make it appear tucked away in the landscape.
Add some vines / trailing plants coming down the top.
Colour correct the sky to make it look darker.
Darken the scene
Add a red glow coming from the door, the glow should slowly pulse.
Bloody hell this is a lot of steps.
There’s some stuff I already know how to do, but if you have any specific techniques or general pointers, I would love to hear them. Thank you!
