November 8, 2007 at 3:26 amFor the most part the problem was over clocking, although I still get a little flicker on the composite video time line on the lower right side.

November 8, 2007 at 4:44 pmFootage can be viewed in the Source window and the Program window among several others. Suspect you are viewing the Timeline (Program window). If you are seeing artifacts there that is not on the footage, I would update video card drivers and then experiment with its overlay settings.

November 12, 2007 at 8:23 pmI’m not getting any artifacts with the footage, but the Program flickers when viewing the footage in Premiere and After Effects. I updated the drivers, but that didn’t seem to help.
Whats weird is that after installing the CS3 suite everything was working fine for a time and then it started flickering. We even brought the over clocking to its normal (default) state so at this point there is no over clocking.
So at this point I may uninstall/reinstall CS3.

November 22, 2007 at 3:58 pmI have seen this problem with Prem Pro on some of our PCs here (we’re running 1.5, but soon to upgrade to CS3) and I believe it’s a display settings / overlay issue, as I was screwing around with the display settings on my PC today and suddenly it started happening!
I fixed it by using system restore and then selecting Direct3D as the playback driver with PP and it fixed the flickering issue, but what specifically trigger it I have no idea because I changed and played with loads of display settings!
