Not by the SDI input, but if you have a RCA type cable, you can buy cheap BNC to RCA adaptors to adapt the component BNC connectors on the dongle.

Will the COMPOSITE signal be accepted by the SDI input?

Nope…but…if you want only the one input you can custom make a cable so that you don’t have all the other connections. We can send you the diagrame if you like. Just give us a call the parts are standard so you can make them yourself fairly easily.

That will get you a bit closer to a clean look which is what I am assuming you are going for.

Also to add to Joshua, composite will connect to the Y-Yb in on the dongle. He’s support though so I defer any questions to him 🙂

Is there a quick solution with cables and adapters?

The composite signal coming out of the video mixer (edirol V8) is from a BNC or a S-video.
And it’s going to a R-Y B-Y Y component input (RCA female or BNC)

And should I expect a visible degradation of the signal?
