Hi! I am a fairly advanced after effects user and I’m looking to remove the two persons on the right in this shot:
    https://youtu.be/oVofK8LAXnU

I have done multiple tries with content aware fill with no great success.

I know it’s pretty challenging as the camera moves in x,y,z but I do have hopes considering the background behind being fairly consistent.

Could anybody send me a tutorial for the technique I’d need ? Di I need to use Mocha or Cinema 4D or other software ?

All Youtube tutorials I found are not as advanced.

It’s a short clip and since there is a camera move, various background elements, and lighting differences you may have success exporting as still frames and use photoshop to object remove/paint out the people.

I’ve done a few VFX plates like this.
However, the speed of the clip and resolution would be a factor.

    Was it shot at 60fps?

    Is it 4K or higher?

And yes, Chris is right, best to frame by frame this one.

In the past, I used the filmstrip option in PS.

    Now mostly in Mocha.

You may need to replace some objects in 3D space but that can get hairy.

    Boulders and shrub is tricky.

I’ve done hard surfaces e.g. furniture, walls, etc.. so they are easier to light and match.

    Good luck!

Another option: don’t remove the people on the right, replace them. Do a 3D track on the shot and use it to insert a 3D rock or shrub right in their location. You could do a lot for this shot with Ae’s camera tracker, a Turbosquid model, and Element 3D.
