Completly New to Sony Begas
This is my very first time using Sony Vegas and I have been playing around with the settings, but everything look so complex. I have been using the cheap Windows Movie Maker for some time now.
I’m trying to make a gaming clan montage video and I would like to know how to adjust the volume of specifc audio tracks, and not all the audio of the project. I would like to know how to add just basic special effects.
I greatly appreciate any help!

Audio of an entire track… use the audio slider on the track header.
Audio changing over time, add a Volume Envelope to the audio track (just select the track and press “V”). Then you can add points to the envelope and adjust volume up or down.

How do you disconnect the points? I’m just trying to adjust the volume of the second track and I want the first audio track to be unaffected.

A volume envelope on the second track won’t affect the first track in any way.

I suspect that Sadeth is using the phrase “audio tracks” to refer to audio events. In which case, he wants to know how to adjust the volume for one event without the points affecting the following events.

Either way, the volume envelope will do it.
