Completely Lost Please help
hello I need major help! Last night my system is running fine, perfect. Now today for some odd reason FCP 6 takes forever to start up, Keeps crashing and freezing, and when i try to create a new project and save as I get “general error 42” and then it crashes? What is going on. I’ve already done a restart and its not working. Any ideas?

just the usual stuff.
trash preferences, repair disk permissions, zap p-ram…

it has something to do with my Hotpoint external raid. Its acting all weird.

We had that same problem the other day here. Our Xserve went down and even though we tried to work off of our internal raids, fcp (and all other applications as well) were just not happy without that raid being happy. sorry i have no solution.

got it. had to re-install the raid software its happy now.
