  • Compatibility question: Panasonic AJ-PCD10 + MacBook Pro + Dual G5 tower

    Camera: Panasonic HPX170
Computer: MacBook Pro, 10.5.8 in field, Dual G5 1.67 for FCP editor

Current P2 transfer method: Duel adapter to MBP via ShotPut for verification and transfer to two separate external drives

Duel adapter is workable but finicky and doesn’t work with G5 editor.

I am looking to buy a Panasonic AJ-PCD10 for use with both MBP and G5. I am getting lots of varying reports about success with either/both. Assuming I have all the correct drivers in place and stay away from OS X 10.6, has ANYONE had success with the AJ-PCD20 and MBP & G5? Can you give me any tips on making this work consistently?

Amazing how I can’t get a straight answer to this, on the Panasonic site, here or elsewhere. Any help?

PCD10 or 20? You mention both.

    PCD20 Should work.

I believe the PCD10 is windows only.

Yes Panasonic AJ-PCD10 is windows only.

Has anyone tried mounting it to a mac that is running windows OS via bootcamp?
