Comparison question from a camera-stupid editor:

Any differences visually with the images captured between the old AJ-HDC28B DVCPro-HD camera and the new AJ-HDX900 one?

    Thanks in advance!

They are quite similar in terms of visual capability- main difference is variable frame rates which you only get on the Varicam.

Comparing Varicam and 900 shooting 720p is one thing but the 900 camera can also do 1080i,
where it records all 1280×720 pixels by upsampling to (1440×1080 when shooting 25p/50i) rather than subsampling 960×720 at 720p.
