Comp Settings
I am trying to make my comp setting match my sequence setting in FCP5. I am finding that when I exportfrom AE 6.5 the aspect ratio remains 4:3. Could you please share your 16:9 workflow?

In standard def, I render (using the render queue in AE) a DV widescreen or D1 widescreen comp to 720×480 or 720×486 respectively.
After importing that file into FCP, I make sure that “anamorphic” is checked in the file properties in FCP.
