  • Comp nested in a comp interlacing problems

I’ve been having a problem with After Effects.
Whenever I nest a comp in another comp and then render and import into Avid, the interlacing gets all funky on quick moves within the animation.

I recently did one where I made the contents of a flag in one comp and then nested that into a second comp and did the flag animation. When I brought it into avid, anytime the flag animation was over 5 secs the interlacing would seperate.

I tried to track down where it’s going wrong but can’t figure it out.
    Anybody have any advice?

    I’m working with NTSC 29.97.

All the field dominance is set to lower.

It only happens when I nest comps.

    No remapping or stretching.

The one that happened today was with a comp that just had a video clip with a border.
Then I put that comp into another comp where it floated by the camera then quickly jumped forward and filled the screen.
When the jump happened is when the interlacing went crazy.
