  • Comp & imported video dimensions are the same but, the video is too small?

    Hi guys,

Video explanation of the problem I’m having:
    https://www.workspace.johncliffordtaylor.com/ccQuestion

The question is pretty straight forward my comp and video are the same size dimensionally but what seems to be going on is that is a small (1.00) next to my video size and a small (1.22) Next to my AE comp this is creating some mos-sizing between the two.

1)My question has two parts what does the little 1.00 vs 1.22 mean
2)How do I fix it so that my AE comp is set to 1.00

    Extra Credit:

The video is compressed in windows media encoder so if any one has any ideas on where the little 1.00 is setup in the encoding process then that would be real helpful to know.

    Thank you in advance!

    John

(1.00) is the pixel aspect ratio of your footage. It means your footage has square pixels.
    Press ” Cmnd/Cntrl + K ” or Go to Composition>Composition Setting.
There you will see ” PIxel Aspect Ratio ” under Basic.
Make sure it is “Square Pixel”. In your case I think it is D1/DV NTSC Widescreen(1.21).
Also check other options until you get the result.
