    Hi

I have a rather silly AE question. Why doesn’t my comp get updated when I drag sliders in effects. It only redraws the comp only when I release the mouse. Surely it must be updating the preview live when I drag sliders around.

    Any ideas?

    thanks

I wonder why that gets inadvertently toggled off for so many people. My version of AE (CS 4) gives a very clear warning of the consequences of doing so, to which you must respond in the affirmative.

Yep. This happens because people are clicking buttons somewhat randomly to “see what stuff does”. And they click right past the warning message.

This is why every time I see someone just clicking around to “see what stuff does” I want to grab them and tell them to stop because they’re actually digging themselves into a hole of confusion.

This item is #1 on the FAQ list that I created.
