Communications problem with Vegas 6c ??
How can I fix this problem??(Sony DVMC-DA1) It keeps saying Communication error and the video signal goes away and you can still hear the audio. If you hit reconnect to device it comes back for 5 seconds and gives the error again. I’m hooking a s-video cable from a vcr into the box along with L&R audio…I loaded the XPsp2 1394 patch and no luck. This is the 2nd Time I have posted this, if anyone can help. (I can capture fine from any firewire camcorder, XL1,DVX-100a, Sony handycam, Ect. Ect.)
Thanks for any help. I would hate to have to buy another box since this was $500.00 when I got it new.

Have you disabled Device Control in Capture Preferences?
If this is still enabled, Vegas will be looking for and trying to control a DV tape.
