Does anyone know if Combustion 3 for MAC will display to a broadcast monitor via component outs on an Extreme card??? If so, what’s the setup in Combustion?

    TIA,

    Hi David,

I’m glad you figured it out. Just for the record in case any one is searching for the answer in future, we can do framebuffer support in Combustion, and you get full speed RAM playback. It

    Luke,

So, does the RAM caching that Combustion goes through process any faster with the cards when framebuffing?

[Luke Maslen] “we can do framebuffer support in Combustion, and you get full speed RAM playback.”

    Luke,

When playing back rendered previews at “Best” quality, while it appears that I do have full speed playback, it seems to display single-field resolution as though it is intentionally dropping down. Is this the way its supposed to work, or am I missing something?

BTW, even at single-field resolution its still very nice, and it an unexpected bonus for this long-time Combustion user who could never see his stuff before on a real monitor.
