I feel like I haven’t found any information on what I want to do because I can’t quite think of the wording for what it is i’m trying. I wanted to test out an idea I had, I shot a sunset recently with two cameras, similar specs, side by side. I was attempting to take and combine both hd images to form an image that ideally would end up being 3840×1080 (1920*2). Now I can blend the two images together alright, and that obviously would make the width shorter, but I’m having a hard time figuring out how I can make vegas put these things together properly. After blending them I thought I could just change the project size but regardless of what I change it to I get borders on the top, bottom, and sides. If anyone could help me figure out what it is i’m doing wrong, I’d really appreciate it!

You mean like the Cinerama in “How the West Was Won”? I think that was three cameras and three synchronized projectors.

It should be fairly easy, but how would you view the finished product – widescreen TV with letterboxing” treat it like a multicam shoot. Bring each camera into Vegas on two tracks, then use PluralEyes to synchronize. Set the project properties to the desired output, then use Track motion to shrink and move the images side-by-side.

    Share an example when finished.
