    Hi Guys,

I’m trying to make a very simple arrow with a stroke. I’ve got two shapes made, a rectangle and an arrow head. I’ve selected them both and turned them into a compound path. The problem is that when I try and add the stroke, the stroke appears around both shapes, while I want the stroke to appear around the outside of the compound path ie: the full arrow, rather than a stroke around the arrow head and one around the rectangle.

    Hope that makes sense.

    Thanks in advance.

You need to look at pathfinder and merge the objects
