Working with FCP 5.1, I would like to combine footage running at 30i, 24p, and 24pA onto a 24p timeline. The 30i footage was shot with a Sony DCR-TRV950 and the 24p & 24pA footage was shot with a Panasonic DVX-100B. How can I import the 30i footage with the least amount of compression?

So you’ve captured the 24P and 24PA footage at 23.98 and not 29.97? And you want to finish at 23.98?

If so, then you’ll want to convert the 30i footage to 23.98. You might be able to use Nattress Standards Converter do that (specifically the Film Converter plugin).

Thanks, Russ. Yes, this is the case. Are there any other converters that work as well in in order to bring in the 30i footage?

    Thanks!
