Colour transition overlay, and transitions
I have a video track layer with an eliptical colour transition mask overlay. In my main video track layer I have various transitions. On the “flash” transitions, rather than a nice flash light fading from one clip to another, I get a flash but it fades into the actual eliptical colour transition layer. If you pause it halfway through the transition, you can see the actual elliptical overlay as it would appear if it wasn’t masked.
How can I keep both the eliptical overlay, and have the flash transition fading through the clip, rather than the overlay? I’ve tried playing around with the composition level settings, but I’m pretty new to Vegas so I don’t really know what I’m doing! (and sorry if the terms I used are confusing)I’m using Sony Vegas Pro 11.

Maybe I could help you if I could see it a bit cuz’ I can’t quite picture the issue in my mind.
I’m a Vegas user too and I’m quite used to the user interface.

I’ve been using Sony Vegas Pro 9.0e since 2011.
Started using Vegas Pro 11.0e from 2012 🙂
