  • Colour settings with XOCN codec from Sony Venice

    Hi,
Hope someone can help me. I am working with Sony Venice footage and when I import into AE the footage looks very dark and the wrong hue.

    The Footage is from a Sony Venice, O-XCN ST/ 6k Op-en Gate 3:2 Spherical/ 25 fps/ SLog3.cine

In Premiere I can adjust the source settings Colour Space between Rec 709, S-Gamut3/S-Log 3 and S-Gamut3Cine/S-Log3. S-Gamut3/S-Log 3 gets me the kind of image I am looking for. However in After Effects if I interpret Footage and go to ‘More Options’ the Sony Raw MFX Source Setting box opens and I can choose between the options – Rec 709, S-Gamut3/S-Log 3 and S-Gamut3Cine/S-Log3. S-Gamut3/S-Log 3. None of the options help sort out the colour. It remains dark with the wrong hue. What should the correct settings be for this kind of footage?

I’m working on an iMac running High Seirra, and have tried in both AE2018 and 2019 but have the same results.

    Any help will much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Richard
