Colour match
Hey guys n girls….
I’ve been focusing on some linux and Android stuff and had to put my SVP project down for a coupla months…. however I’m back to finish off and now realising I’m a bit rusty I need to be reminded how I should best go about matching the clips I have left to use (shot in Dubai last year) to the edited stills shots I have from same and plan to use within this last section.
Gopro footage is superb resolution and when I learn how to use ‘Protune’ RAW I’m sure I’ll get the best from it…. but for now I have to work with ‘out-of-the-box’ footage which often can look a bit ‘washed out’ and needs the colour saturation lifting just a touch to brighten it up. I edited several of the stills shots taken with a second Gopro using just VLC auto colour correction and the end result is stunning for a one-click fix…. so…. I now I need the video colour to match the edited stills
I have BCC and I know there are several plug-ins within the Boris collection to do with colour manipulation…. hoping JR picks this post up and can give me a nice easy way to ‘batch match’ all my clips in one go to that of one of the edited stills… in fact I have a hazy memory that JR made one of his Boris tutorial videos on this very subject, but I’ can’t recall where it is…?

There is also a Sony Color Match plug-in that comes with Vegas Pro 12.0 that is very easy to use but not very flexible if it doesn’t work.~jr

Of course….. Boris TV…. My memory is fading drastically as I age…. I need a blood transfusion from a 5 yr old child that matches my group of course…. some interesting research has led clever people to discover that stem cells in young blood will re-connect broken neurons and forge new neural pathways in those of us who are in a degenerative state thru age…… It’s as if the old legend of Count Dracula could have an element of truth behind it…. !!!
