    Hi
Does any one know of a website that contains basic advice, tips on colour grading. Ill be using either after effects or avid symphony.

If I was you, I’d go for Symphony. AE still does not have real video color correction tools. It offers Color Finesse as a plug-in but the way it’s implemented makes it almost useless. I would have the cut in Symphony and use it’s color corrector on each shot. Way faster and more accurate. Not too familiar with Symphony workflow, but in DS (same color corrector) you can pipe a matte node into a color correct node and make power windows, and you can pipe a keyer into a CC node to get secondary color correction).

Still hoping for the day AE has a color correction solution that isn’t a rig.
