Colour Grading problem
Hey there,
I’ve been opening up some scenes to an indie film I’ve been editing and i wanted to get rid of the colour grading i have on the footage. But the individual footage pieces and the tracks say there is no colour grading applied. But when I click the Split Screen View button on video preview, it shows before and after. So clearly there is colour grading applied. And its pretty obvious too. Am I missing something?
If anyone could help me out it would be much appreciated.

Thats because the color grading filters is probably applied
to the Video Bus Track or on the Track FX to the left of the
timeline instead.
For the bus track, Look above the Vegas Preview window,
and find the Video output FX icon, (beside split screen
view icon), click on it and you should see where your

There are 4 placed to check: Media FX, Track FX, Event FX, and Bus FX. It’s got to be one of those.

The other place is the actual Preview Window option. This is with Bump Map applied at the Preview Level and it is left ON, see the Green FX Icon?:-
And here OFF. But you would STILL need to remove it from the preview Window itself:-
BUT, again, you can have the Preview Icon GREEN=”FX available”, but switched OFF in the Bump Map FX Control:-
I’ve done this, and have caught myself out by it.
From what you’ve said, I’m not sure this adds to John’s choice of 4, but it may.
