    Hello,

I have just completed editing a 38 minute documentary in Adobe Premiere Pro Cs3. The time has come to colour correct the project – is it best to do this process within PREMIERE PRO or should i import the project into AFTER EFFCTS ?

I have been advised that after effects can do a better job but if this is so whats the best way to export it out of premiere into after effects without losing any quality ??

The project was shot on 1080HD 50i Sony Z1 and the final output is to be put on DVD possibly blue ray seeing it was shot on 1080.

    Any help / suggestions ?

After Effects has more powerful color correction tools, but they may not be needed. It really depends on how much work needs to happen for your project.

What sort of things do you need to have done? An example pic or two wouldn’t hurt as we try to help.

If you do plan to use AE to do the color correction there have been several threads here on the best HD formats to use with it, a quick search should do the trick.
