    Hello,

Can someone please help me. I have been told to use the following colors in Photoshop,

    #7f0c00 and #450400

What are these colors and how do I select colors in this way in photoshop???

    Thank you!

#7f0c00 and #450400 are hexadecimal values (base 16 as opposed to decimal base 10). These are often used in web based content.

The first two digits represent the red value, the second two are green and the last two are blue.

    7f in hex = 127 in decimal
    0c in hex = 12 in decimal
    00 in hex = 0 in decimal
    45 in hex = 69 in decimal
    04 in hex = 4 in decimal

You don’t really need to know this, as you can enter the hex value in the color panel hexadecimal text field. This is at the bottom of the color picker with a # preceding it.

This can also be a really useful method for copying a color value directly from the color panel and pasting it into the panel later, since the entire RGB triplet is stored in one string of hex values.
