Color Space setting
Hey All.
Starting a new project today that will be output for broadcast, and have very little info as to the makeup of the files…this is all the info I have (and will ever have)…
“We shot LogC ProRes4444”.
It’s 4k footage but will be output in HD, so I thought I would ingest into a 4K project and then edit in HD…there are so many more color space choices in the 4K world!
Any suggestions on the most appropriate color space setting? I usually default to YCbCr 709 and haven’t had many issues, but a few.

If this is for broadcast, then it needs to be Rec709

Thanks Shane. By Rec709, I’m assuming you’re referring to the YCbCR 709 setting. Correct?
And while we’re at it, is there a significant advantage to ingesting into a 4K project and then editing in HD?
OR…should I just start the project in HD (in which case Frame Flex still works)? I’ve done it both ways and haven’t really come to a definite conclusion.
