I’m working with DVCProHD files in AE. I made Comps using the same specs. After working on, rendering and importing the files into Final Cut, the gamma/contrast do not match to what I saw in After Effects. I’ve tried enabling/disabling the Final Cut Gamma Correction check box in Quicktime preferences, but I came away with the same result.

Can anyone help me understand what it is I’m not doing correctly?

Try going to final cut pro preferences then editing tab, and limit the gamma to 1.8 as a custom setting, then re import your files again and compare, hope it works for you.
