September 3, 2006 at 5:00 amI just replicated the problem perfectly with an uncompressed AVI with Alpha on a DV timeline.
Haven’t had time to mess with QT’s…but it appears to be easy enough to duplicate.

September 3, 2006 at 5:34 pmThanks Guys,
I was wondering how I could not have come upon issue before, hopefully it’s just a DV preview issue. I will do some most checking over the weekend using different export formats from AE. It may be an RGB to YUV problem as Troy mentionned, but a DV export for animation would infortunately not solve the issue.
Cheers,
Vince

September 23, 2006 at 8:37 ami am sorry to ressuscitate this old thread, but this happens to me and my colleagues at work all the time… if we have something with alpha and export it to premiere (in any format: qt animation, uncompressed, tga sequence, tiff sequence…) the color of the footage below shifts… we have tried many things, but none of them worked.. so now we export from after effects in image sequence and import the image sequence folder to premiere (instead of using the image-sequence mode), setting the still image in the preferences for 1 frame and then selecting all the images and dropping’em on the timeline.. it works… but it makes a mess…
if anyone has had any success with this please drop a message.
thx
lucas
