    Hi,

Timeline format: 1920 x 1080 HDV Upper field. One layer, no efects, no filters, no nothing, just pure edit.

It’s a 1978 shots sequence, for a music concert DVD.

Started rendering and when gets to shot numer 811 the render is cancelled. It;s the second time that happens.

First time this render “cancelled” itself I went to the original footage to check any abnormality: nope, it seems OK, it plays OK, it’s name does not contain any strange metacharacters. Then I went to the Color render files folders and all the media was there from shot 1 to shot 810. Then I checked if the hard disk had enough space: OK. Lots of space available.

This second time it stopped rendering by itself at the same shot. Color crashed and when it came back all the beatiful green bars were gone. So, for now I started by deleting the temp files on Color rendered files’ folders 811 and 812 and started rendering from shot 811.

While I try to figure out what happened with my colleagues over here, the only and painful workaround I see is to manually edit the 1978 shots rendered by Color in a FCP timeline.

Is there a way to “reconnect” theses rendered files to my Color project’s timeline before I send it back to FCP?

Thanks in advance for your time,

    Alex

    Well,

It stopped again on shot 1511. Weird.

This time Color did’nt crash, so I sent the sequence to FCP, saved the project in FCP, quit FCP and when I got back to Color it just hanged out for lots of minutes and then came back safe, so I went to Color’s rendered media files’ folders, deleted temp shot on folder # 1512, came back to Color, selected shots from # 1512, added to render queue and restarted rendering…

Hope it works so my workaround it will be a little less hard to make.

    Thanks again folks.

    Sorry folks,

This should be at Apple’s Color Forum.

    Thanks.
