Color picker bug – wrong color management

July 16, 2020 at 12:09 pmHi, my illustrator “Color picker” shows wrong colors, it does not respond to the color management of the project.
Let me explain better … I have a wide gamut monitor correctly calibrated and profiled via hardware, I create an illustrator project with sRGB profile , I apply a certain color to a shape, the color is perfectly displayed in the artboard and the color management is correct, the same color is correctly seen in “Swatches”, “Color” panel and even in the “Color picker” in the toolbar . As you can see here
So far no problem.
However, if I open the “Color picker” or the “Swatch” it is evident that the color represented is completely wrong, oversaturated, as if the color management was no longer active in these two windows.
It is not a negligible problem since I cannot correctly select a color in real time: I have to wait to apply it to see its real appearance.
The same thing absolutely does NOT happen in Photoshop whose color management is absolutely correct in every panel and window.
From my point of view it is clearly a bug, but I don’t know if it is produced by an incompatibility between my monitor profile and Illustrator or it is only an illustrator bug. At the time of writing I have version 24.2.1 of illutsrator. Has anyone solved a similar problem? Let me know because I’m in trouble … thanks -
