Color-matching plugin: call for samples

Hi,

There have been several users who told me they would be interested in having a plugin that would help them match the colors between several clips, recorded by different cameras.

I am working on this, getting good results so far, but I would like to benchmark my algorithm on more real-world cases, and make it as robust as possible.

So if you have shoots of a same scene, taken by different cameras, I would be delighted to get them. It might be still images or footage – still images will be fine, and certainly easier to exchange.

For still images, you may either post them on the forum, or contact me by private messages.

Hi Frederic,
Although i have no samples to assist you with at the moment, i just want
to let you know how much i personally appreciate the hard work you have
put in, in creating two much needed, powerful yet straight-forward
plugins.
The best of which is Exposure. For a long time i have wanted a plugin
in vegas like the Shadow/Highlight in after effects, to aid in brightening dark shots in a natural way….Exposure fills that gap
perfectly.

I do have footage of a multi-cam ice skating shoot in which I used 4 cameras: an FX1, Z1P, HC3 (all HDV Sony cameras) and a Canon HDD AVCHD camera.

They are taken from different angles around the ice rink, and 2 of the 4 cameras were unmanned. White balance was manual. Is that what you were after?

If so, I can upload short clips to MediaFire or post you the m2t files on a DVD.

Please advise.

The plug-in seems to do as advertised. I gave Frederic some footage I gave up trying to match and he was able to do so successfully.

I was impressed. Definitely on my buy list!
